The group Powertrain Performance and Properties for Buses is responsible for the bus vehicleproperties: Drivability, Energy Consumption, Range, Acoustics and Sound Emissions. Together with the overall performance and backed up by powertrain simulations as well as NVH testing for legaldemands and interior noise, this creates a team that can deliver the optimal and most propertybalanced powertrain for our Scania buses.
The Vehicle Properties Energy Consumption & Range
Energy Consumption & Range are some of the most focused on areas today. For ICE vehicles theenergy consumption affects the Business model for our end customer but is also a direct influencer on CO2 emissions and the environment. For our electrified vehicles the Range is even more important for our customers and has a heavy impact on tenders and offerings as well as our own roadmaps. These Properties are managed by out Property Owner who is responsible for the choices made and numbers delivered but to be able to still be competitive we must always strive to be better.
Your tasks as a Test Engineer for Energy Efficiency
The role is divided in two parts.
The first is the testing part where you will plan, prepare, perform and analyze energy consumption tests for input to our simulations and to our sales department.
The second part is system optimization and a constant focus on the energy efficiency, so we are using our components, systems and buses in the best way possible. It 's about seeing the whole through the details and cross functionally cooperate with other property owners, truck colleagues and test engineers to achieve our goal.
You will work close with the whole team depending on the situation because we believe that
Your profile
You have a relevant academic degree or equivalent experience in the area.
You have a relevant background from Scania R&D such as testing, evaluating, developing or
optimizing complete powertrains.
You are structured, customer oriented with good communication skills, proactive, take
initiative and ownership, and have the drive to keep improving our work.
You feel comfortable acting in different roles depending on the situation given.
Driver's license D and/or C is a bonus but will be offered with the employment
Cross functionality and team work is key so you must be a team player.
