At Volvo Cars, we have an Agile Organization where we develop our product features and functions continuously in Product Streams with a complete lifecycle responsibility. The three Product Streams within the unit Vehicle Software&Electronics are:
* In-Car Digital - Infotainment, Digital User Experience, Connectivity
* Base Software - Electrical and Electronics Systems
* Autonomous Drive - Active Safety and autonomous drive functions
Test Engineer - Electrical systems integration Active Safety
Main Responsibilities of the Department
Responsible for testing of customer functions and system behaviour on a high system level as well as system analysis of complex problems during integration events prior to SW releases. The operational responsibility is to manage and develop integration of electrical system, SW Integration and release to vehicle programs, production and aftermarket. Main operational task is to secure a delivery status and provide a test environment for the complete electrical system matching a defined verification plan.
Who are you?
You are a test engineer that will work with testing of the complete electrical system of our new electrical platform to secure function and a robust system. Working as Test Engineer on the Complete electrical system means that you will establish and develop relationships with designers and test engineer within different system areas of the complete vehicle as well as building an understanding of the designs within those areas. The testing will take place both in rigs, boxcars and HIL as well as in vehicles. We believe that you are a technical-minded team player with strong analytical and problem solving skills. Along with a positive attitude you are reliable, self-driven, innovative and you find ways of motivating yourself. You are a team player who is willing to share information, knowledge and experience with people around you. A curious mind as to why and how things are done combined with the ability of being objective about the solutions. Requirements:
M.Sc. / B.Sc. or several years of relevant experience
Fluent in Swedish & English, spoken and written.
Experience of system testing
Experiences:
Vehicle knowledge on a complete vehicle level
Good general knowledge of base technologies within HW/SW platform
Good knowledge of SW and HW testing and test tools
Experience of electrical architecture, signal configuration, communication, diagnosis and software-download
Experience of CANalyzer, CANoe and Volvo Diagnostic tools
Good knowledge of programming test scrips

Location for this position is Gothenburg, Sweden from where we expect you are able to work with adequate working permits. Working proficiency in the English language, speech and writing, is a requirement. Combined with the same skills in the Swedish language is considered a merit.
