The company develops UIQ, an open user-interface and application development platform that is flexible and customizable. UIQ Technology is currently owned by Sony Ericsson and Motorola which each have a 50% stake in UI Holdings.
About the position:
We are looking for skilled Test Engineers to be part of our growing team and continue to evolve the UIQ Platform with the latest technologies, standards and UI design for upcoming mobile phone
releases.
You will be part of a team that develops test applications, test tools and automated tests for validation of the UIQ Platform. As a test engineer you will contribute to improve our tests and test
environments to assure the UIQ platform quality.
The role will include test and quality assurance activities in all project phases such as estimation and planning of test related activities, developing test specifications and test approaches,
reviewing specifications, reviewing requirements, developing and updating automated test scripts, configuration and execution of automated tests and defect handling.
Education:
A University degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or in a related field is required.
Qualification and skills:
• Communicate and write in English
• Scripting knowledge, preferably PERL
• Experience of software test execution and automated tests
• Test leading
