What we are looking for
We are looking for an experienced Test Engineer to add to our talented, international engineering team. You will be responsible for planning, maintaining efficient testing processes and structure with the aim to prevent, detect, record, and manage defects within the context of a defined release. You will work in a team with our current Test Engineer, reporting to our CTO and working in close collaboration with our Developers and Release Manager. Your work will make sure that our 30 million (and growing...) users are satisfied with the application.
Your core responsibilities will be to:
• Define testing framework, process, scope and structure according to Truecaller's needs, including test plans, metrics and resources.
• Perform and follow up on risk analysis
• Continuously investigate and research new testing methodology and tools in order to create such efficient testing as possible, including evaluating and taking decision on automatic vs manual testing processes
• Communicate to both testing team and the technical teams the scope of testing for each release
• Create and document test cases, requirements and specifications
• Closely communicate with developers and Release Manager to create more efficient release processes
What we want you to have
• 5+ years of experience in testing in a medium or large scale software development
• Proven track record of setting testing framework, structure and processes with experience from testing on back-end systems
• Proven track record in reading and writing/updating specifications, test plans, integration test scenarios etc.
• Programming experience with focus on Java (for Android) and/or Objective-C(for iPhone) and maybe C#(for Windows phone), knowledge to be good enough to be able to identify causes to problems in the code base and feedback to developers
• Experience from unit testing frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, Mockito, EasyMock, jMock etc.
• Experience from higher level test tools like Selenium and such (or their mobile counterparts)
• Experience of BDD, Behavior-driven Development, ATDD, Acceptance Test Driven Development or TDD Test Driven Development
• Scrum, sql, html/js etc. are nice-to-have
• Knowledge in HPQC, Vira are nice to have
• Any experience of agile development is an advantage
• A ISTQB-certificate (or ISEB, CSTE) is a plus but not required
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or other relevant degree
• You communicate fluently in English, in speaking and writing
• Swedish language skills is not required as our official company language is English (we will however encourage you to learn Swedish and provide Swedish lessons for free)
