Kongsberg Automotive is now looking for a test engineer who would like to be part of the future development of our products within the Shift By Wire and transmission actuator area. As a test engineer, you will be part of the engineering team belonging to the Powertrain & Chassis business unit that consist of roughly 65 engineers in different teams having full development and test in house at Kongsberg Automotive AB. The engineers belong to a variety of engineering disciplines such as mechanical design, hardware design, software engineering, systems engineering and validation.

Responsibilities
In this position you will test products for automotive systems such as Shift-By-Wire systems and actuators towards all major car and truck brands. You will plan, develop methods and set-ups and perform validation of electrical, mechanical and environmental tests on system level.
In our work, we use LabView and VectorCANoe as main programming tools for automation, recording and monitoring of pneumatic, electrical and/or robotic test rig setups and we think that you are familiar and experienced with any of those tools. We also value experience from environmental testing of electronic components and systems.
Requirements
• MSc/BSc of Mechanical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent degree in a scientific field
• Team player with a strong drive and a positive attitude
• Experience of working in projects with great personal responsibility
• Ability to turn theory into practice
• Used to work in a structure and independent way
• Good communication (oral and written) in English
• Experience from electronics and/or software test.
• Experienced in SW development environments such as LabView, Vector CANoe etc.
• Knowledge of environmental testing of electronics.
