Test engineer - Traction Batteries
As Test Engineer at Traction Batteries, you will develop test methods within the Software (SW) and Hardware (HW) area for traction batteries and see to that the methods are validated. You will utilize the methods developed in the increasing number of Battery electric and hybrid vehicle projects.
We at PES (Propulsion Energy Systems) are now investing heavily in developing our analyses and validation operations for traction batteries in terms of simulations and through developing our new battery lab. The analyses of traction batteries grow fast and challenges both VCC, battery suppliers and our OEM competitors.
Your responsibilities as Battery Test Engineer will include development of test methods for thermal, electrical, EMC, diagnoses, control, calibration of batteries in close cooperation with design, test and simulations engineers both internally and from other departments. You will also interact with colleagues, at other units within VCC or external companies and organizations. We are a young and developing team.
Main responsibilities
* Initiate and perform tests and analyse results for validation of traction batteries in running projects at different test locations both internally VCC and at external locations
* Develop methods for SW and HW tests of traction batteries in aspects of thermal, electrical, EMC, diagnoses, control and calibration
* Perform initial investigations of root cause to up-coming issues
* Create technical documentation including reports
* Coordinate external work e.g. with suppliers
Required qualifications
* Master degree in Engineering
* Strong analytic abilities and interest, since job requires ingenuity and creativity
* 3-5 years of experience from both SW and HW testing
* Documented experience with Mathlab and other analytical tools
* Fluent in English, written and spoken
* Willing to travel now and then
* Driver 's license B

* Good communication skills
* Result oriented with a structured way of working
* Able to act independently as well as to cooperate within a team
* Broad vehicle interest and knowledge, especially in vehicle electrification
