The section Reliability Testing, within Complete vehicle attributes working area, is focusing on identifying reliability remarks (repairable items), concentrating at showroom impression up to 1 year in service. The testing is performed on complete vehicle. Complete vehicle attributes working area, is complete vehicle validation and our vision is to represent the global customer. We try to understand future customer expectations and market requirements. We execute customer oriented testing on test tracks and public roads, performed in different environments globally were the car is expected to be used.
As a Test Engineer - Reliability Testing, you plan, perform analysis and report test results at the Hällered proving ground. You work close together with other project team members at complete vehicle attribute department in Gothenburg. The position is located at Hällered proving ground, but includes travel to Gothenburg from time to time. Sometimes you travel to test sites outside Sweden, but not on regular bases.
Main responsibilities
• Lead different test codes of complete vehicle, related to quality and reliability including functions. Most frequent test is 5000 km and 20000 km test. It also include our fuel consumption test RWFC, real world consumption test
• Initiate and perform base analysis of found problems (HW and SW) including reading fault codes
• Actively contact item owner and describe the problem
• Be able to (or learn) use different log equipment to collect applicable data/recordings to pin point the problems
• Handshake and report items via VQDC, in cooperation with related project
• Verify suggested solutions for the VQDC issues
• If applicable at test end, show the test car to appropriate audience and write a LM report
• Control that the test cars have correct status and if applicable, update to correct HW/SW status
• Use different IT-system to verify correct SW status and if applicable download new SW
• Test planning, maintain LAB95, look after delivery of test objects, book related equipment like cold and heat container and test drivers
• Close cooperation with Hällereds test drivers and mechanics
Required qualifications
• Technical education at university level or equivalent experience
• Generally high interest and experience of complete vehicle attributes
• Testing experience on complete vehicle is wanted
• Fluent in English and Swedish, spoken and written
• Driver license (B)

• High degree of initiative and doer ability
• Patience and endurance
• Good skills to cooperate with other members/teams/organisations
