Test engineer - Chassis Electronics

At RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT you will be a key contributor to the next generation outstanding luxury cars from Volvo. Together with other engineers around the world, you and your team will create innovative human-centric car technology that makes life less complicated and more enjoyable for people. As TEST ENGINEER - CHASSIS ELECTRONICS within the group "Braking and Chassis Electronics" you will be responsible for verification of software, systems and functions within braking, steering and active damping. The group is part of Vehicle Dynamics and Active Safety centre and is an analysis and verification function within Active Safety and Chassis. Our section "Braking and Electronics Analysis and Verification" is responsible for analysis, verification and validation of function, system and software concerning Chassis Electronics, Brake Performance and Brake Noise. In addition, the section is also responsible for the requirements concerning Braking Attributes. Using progressive technology and engineering, we are active and responsible during all stages of the product development process; ranging from the research phase through concept phase, industrialization and post production quality support.

Currently our section consists of 26 positive and committed colleagues who support each other in the daily work while also encouraging cross team and cross role involvement. In order to strengthen our team we are now searching for three experienced test engineers within the Chassis Electronics area.

Job profile:

• Testing and reporting to the project organisation
• Development of the test methods and virtual test environments linked to requirements
• Testing in lab environment such as test benches, boxcars or using Hardware in the Loop (HIL)
• Tests using a complete vehicle
• Reviewing and following up on Suppliers concerning their test methods as well as test results

Your profile:

• MSc in electronics or software engineering or BSc with relevant work experience
• Knowledge from MATLAB/simulink, C-programming, Canalyser/CANoe
• Good English spoken an written as well as Swedish on an intermediate level
• Driving license B
• Vehicle knowledge and interest is meritorious
• Good communications and social skills as well as a good team member
• Structured and thorough manner
• Independent co-worker
