Description
Do you want to work in a highly innovative team using state-of-the-art industrial technology? If these questions catch your interest, you are talented in your field and want to be part of our costumers Object-Controller System (OCS) team, this position could be for you. Bombardier develop embedded systems using the latest industrial technology in order to optimize the flow of trains. The OCS Products are designed to control and supervise different kinds of railway wayside objects e.g. railway signals, switches and balises (communicate with trains). OCS also include products which are the interface between the object controllers and the interlocking.
All Bombardiers products undergo extensive testing in the lab and in the field. Test engineers are responsible for verifying our products through hardware, integration and system tests and by utilizing HIL (Hardware In the Loop) tools. Test Engineers are part of a highly qualified design team including also System, Safety, Software and Hardware Engineers. We work closely together to keep developing one of the most successful Bombardier Transportation products in the world!
Your role
1. Create test specifications from product requirements.
2. Be responsible for designing test cases, executing tests, solving problems. and writing test reports;
3. Design and implement the Test Equipment including test automation.
4. Summarise all verification activities on the product and recommend further testing or release.
5. Innovate and bring expert knowledge to new developments.
Your experience and qualifications
• Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Transportation or Applied Physics.;
* Typically 3-5 years of experience as a Test Engineer (different experience levels will be considered);
* Good knowledge and proven experience in programming;
* Good knowledge in C programming, National Instruments LabView or Test Stand for test script development (preferred);
* Test of systems including integrated hardware and software. Use of measuring instruments e.g. oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, signal generators, etc.
* Hardware experience digital and/or analogue in embedded systems is an asset (Being able to interpret schematics and other drawings is key).
* Environmental durability testing experience including temperature, vibration, EMC and lightning (preferred);
* Experience from a similar industry (automotive, industrial, aerospace, military) is a big plus.
* English at a business fluent level is mandatory.
