The Hällered Proving Ground is part of the Feature Verification and Validation organization. Our responsibility is to run complete vehicle tests concerning reliability, durability & functionality both at the Hällered Proving Ground, but also at various test locations around the world. The reliability of our products is verified and validated by our professional truck drivers and mechanics through methods assimilating real customer usage.
As a Test Driver you are responsible for performing the tests according to the predefined test procedure and report the issues found. You also need to report on how the truck will be perceived by drivers outside Volvo.
We work in teams in close cooperation with mechanics and test engineers but also with other departments within AB Volvo. We get the opportunity to test early phases in the product development process and to actually drive the future products.
Today we are 12 test drivers in our two test teams working in Hällered outside Borås.
The team is located in Hällered outside Borås. We work in shifts and frequent travel can be expected.
Required Knowledge and Experience
• You have an education from the transport high school (transport gymnasium) or similar and at least five years of experience from commercial truck driving. CE driving license is a requirement
• You are confident in the use of computers, social media and other technical platforms such as mobile phones and tablets and can handle the most common programs in Microsoft Office.
• You are fluent in Swedish and English in both speaking and writing.
