As part of the Product Verification team you ensure that we guide R&D towards the right quality level at launch to increase the competitiveness of Assa Abloy Entrance System products.
<b>About the job</b>
Assa Abloy Entrance Systems is in an exciting transitional phase preparing for new technology to be integrated in our solutions. We are also updating our ways-of-working and tool chains to provide a great environment for product development and verification. The Test Development Engineer has a very central role in driving continuous development of testing methods, specifications and processes and support the projects with planning and execution of test cases. One of our biggest initiatives is test automation where we use tools as Lab View and Canoe. We are 6 employees in Landskrona and 3 employees in China that supports the R&D team with verification.
As the Test Development Engineer you will be working with the test team for controlling revolving doors and related accessories including related support Software packages for connecting doors to our control system. Our door automation solutions are required to meet several stringent national and international safety standards whilst at the same time they must not compromise on user experience, customer requirements, energy efficiency or security.
<b>Your profile</b>
Our Test Development Engineer needs to be a strong and driven person with a high degree of energy and passion.
We believe that you have the ability to drive, engage and support colleagues, as well as being a strong partner for the R&D team. Working as a team comes naturally, and you also have the ability to work independently when needed.
To be successful in this role you probably have a degree in engineering (M (Mechatronics), E or D) and at least 5 years of broad experience of the testing craftsmanship within electromechanical products and systems. Knowledge in Labview, Python, and C# is essential and knowledge in Canoe is an advantage.
At times our doors need adjustments, and you will be fixing and screwing to ensure that the test objects are ready for test. As we are an international organization working with colleagues in China,US and Czech your English skills need to be excellent.
