The work environment at Scania's IT department is international and our employees represent many different nationalities and countries.

The team, which currently consists of 9 people, including a group manager, scrum-master, system and software developers, test and system analysts, that supports Scania's testing process at R&D. If you are a communicative and analytical Tester with experience from automated tests and an agile way of working, then maybe this could be the right challenge for you?

Your Responsibility:

As a part of the agile development team, you will be responsible for a wide scope of activities.

Primarily to develop and execute software test plans in order to identify software problems and their causes. It's your job to work as hard as you can to 'break' the new product to help the design process. You'll work closely with software designers and programme managers to understand more about what each product is meant to do, its key features and who will use it.

You will be responsible for finding and reporting bugs and glitches by assessing software quality through mainly automated testing. You'll run functional tests, customer scenario testing, stress testing, performance testing, scalability testing, international testing and integrations. The ultimate goal is to iron out any bugs and improve the quality of the finished product. Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.

Your Profile:

In this role, you should have a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills. If you are also competent in executing test cases and are passionate about quality, we'd like to meet you. Ultimately, you will ensure that our products, applications and systems work correctly.

The technical profile we are looking for is:

• Able to contribute to designing, building, testing, and deploying effective test automation solutions using SoapUI & Postman, or similar.
• Ability to run tests with XML inputs and read XML outputs.
• The interest to build automated testing against server-less applications running on AWS.
• Report bugs/issues from test execution for achieving high quality.
• Programming experience is strongly desired.
• Coordinating review of test objectives with appropriate project members.
• Experience with Agile or iterative/incremental software development methods such as Kanban or Scrum.
• Driving innovation and manage testing development needs within a fast paced, agile environment

We expect applicants to be organised, have a strong analytical capability and a service-minded approach with a focus on quality. To be successful in this role you will also need to have good communication skills and feel comfortable working closely with several parties within the business. Also being capable of working independently, adapting to changing circumstances and working productively in a pressurised environment is necessary.

You have a degree in computer science or similar degree, complemented with 3+ years' experience as a tester and a significant interest in IT. As the corporate language is English, the position requires the ability to speak, write and understand English at a high level.

We offer:

In addition to an exciting career, we offer a competitive salary and other benefits, such as a company car that you can privately lease, performance bonuses, a pension plan, flexible working hours, lunch at reduced prices and much more.

In Scania, our focus is to provide our employees with a long-term career facilitated by individual personal development plans. You will have the freedom to steer your growth regardless of your ambition to become a specialist or a generalist.
