At Powertrain Engineering Laboratory you and your team will provide Powertrain Engineering Projects with market competitive testing and quality assured test results.

At Powertrain Engineering Laboratory you will be a key contributor of next generation propulsion system for the Volvo Group.
Powertrain Engineering Laboratory is a complete test laboratory with test capability for engine, transmission, drive line, acoustic and system testing. The 20.000 square meter laboratory also include engine, transmission and technical work shops along with areas for calibration and service of test equipment and facility process maintenance. With high focus on effectiveness and future investments we can provide market competitive testing support for Powertrain Engineering product projects.
The testing laboratory you will be working in, is one of the largest in Volvo Powertrain globally, which means that you will be involved in the global work with our other sites with your technical skills and experience.

Main responsibilities
As test cell technician you will be responsible for:
Install engine in test cell and connect test cell instrument necessary to carry out the test according to working order
Ensure that all tests are carried out in efficient manner
Responsible for measurement quality and result
Responsible for the test cells equipment, function and calibration status
Perform troubleshooting on test equipment when necessary
Perform all mechanical work on test objects according to established routines
Delivery according to agreed time schedule
Establish a communication with the customer to secure the customer expectations

Required qualifications
Graduating secondary school or technical university
Well spoken and written English
Driveline knowledge
Computer knowledge
Comtest and ATI Vision is considered a merit
Personal qualities
A true curious self-starter and a character of initiatives
You have good communication and social skills and a willingness to actively participate in the team's common matters
You are flexible and find it positive to work in a creative and changing environment
Great cooperative skills and a customer focus
