Do you want to be a part of our journey towards a new way of working with QA? We want to move away from the old way of thinking of testing as a separate part of the process and instead move towards a new way of working with continuous, integrated testing within the development teams, using shift-left, shift-right, canary deploys and feature toggling.
We are now looking for a Test Automation Engineer to Telia Finance IT!
In this position you will be central in product and tech development @Telia Finance. You will work closely with our QA lead, skilled engineers, scrum master, architect, and product owners in a tight knit team where we work using agile methodologies. We are a relatively small credit marketing company within the big Telia Company Group. The IT department in Telia Finance covers everything from Web Portals to BI and Data Lakes and has an important stake and impact on the future business of Telia Finance.
My name is Mattias Lejbrink and in my role as Engineering Manager for the B2B domain in Telia Finance I am leading the change of a new way of working with QA. During 2022 we also launched a new organizational setup where we will move towards continuous deployment, DevOps, and a transformation towards SaaS-based Hybrid Cloud Solutions.
As part of this transformation, we will introduce the new role as Test Automation Engineer!
The role
In the role as Test Automation Engineer, you will initially work on a migrations project where we are well underway of moving our main system from Open VSM and Cobol to Java and Linux. To do this we need to test before, during and after the migration to verify that every feature is working and that the new, modern system is up and running as before.
You will be responsible for creation, execution and maintenance of test in automation processes, you will be building a test automation framework and work broadly with tests performing automation, performance, security, and database testing.
You will oversee the manual testing performed today to get an understanding of the system and the testing needs, to be able to take responsibility for the migration to automation testing. Even though this is a legacy system, in this role you will work only with modern technologies as we will not build any automation testing for the legacy system.
We believe you have
• Experience using any of the automation framework, preferrable Cypress
• Experience in Oracle database testing
• Experience using Postman collections for API testing
• Experience in microservices testing
• Experience with GIT and Xray
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English
• Any experience in JMeter or Gatling is considered a plus
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, performance or security testing is considered a plus
