Terminal Manager
Ready to take on a new challenge? Univar Solutions is a leading global distributor of chemicals and ingredients with four terminals in the Nordics. We are currently looking for a Terminal Manager to take over the responsibilities for the daily operations at the Malmo site, and infuse the organization with strategic vision and best practice.
The Malmo Terminal, in short:
The site is located in the secuity area of the North harbour in Malmo. At the site, you'll find chemicals and ingredients in bulk and package, received by ships and trucks, and distributed by trucks. The site includes a lab for quality assurance, administrative offices, and warehouses.
Areas of responsibility:
Aside from the daily operations of the terminal, including quality control, people management for the 12 employees in your line of reporting, safety measures and productivity, we would also like to see you add more value to the business through:
Strategic planning regarding maintenance and investments
Analysis of improvements on the value add vs cost optimization calibrations
Adding commercially driven aspect of operations and acting as a partner to the business
Increase efficiency though process orientation and optimization
Capture synergies across the region and collaborate with the terminals in Copenhagen, Gothenburg and Fredrikstad

Although we are open to a divese candidate pool, we expect your background to include:
Managerial experience from a site handling similar goods, such as chemicals, oil, gas, flammibles etc, and a solid understanding of the risks and challenges involved in this line of business.
A knack for strategic and analytical thinking, as well as the urge to constantly optimize and improve.
A curiosity for trying new things and an willingness to change to adapt and impove your own ways of working, as well as the site as a whole.
