We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tender Engineer to join our preconstruction team. As a Tender Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the preparation and submission of competitive and compliant tenders and bids for construction projects. Your expertise will play a crucial role in helping us win strategic contracts while maintaining high standards of accuracy, risk management, and client focus.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze tender documents, specifications, and drawings to develop a full understanding of project requirements.
Prepare detailed cost estimates, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor inputs.
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project teams to gather technical and commercial information.
Develop technical proposals and pricing strategies aligned with client expectations and our capabilities.
Conduct risk assessments and value engineering during the bid process.
Ensure timely submission of tenders and compliance with all legal, contractual, and technical requirements.
Engage with clients, consultants, and suppliers during tender clarifications and negotiations.
Maintain a database of historical costs and market intelligence to support continuous improvement in pricing.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Minimum 2-4 years of experience in tendering, estimating, or project engineering in the construction sector.
Strong understanding of building systems, construction methods, and cost structures.
Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., Bidcon, Bluebeam, MS Excel).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and preferably Swedish.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
