hela Sverige Visa alla jobb hos U.S Embassy i Stockholm The incumbent operates the Embassy Health Unit and conducts on-going orientation to local medical facilities; preventive health care including immunizations and fluoride supplements; referral to local physicians and facilities; arranging in-service and employment physical examinations, including pre-exam lab work. The Health Unit specifically is NOT a primary care facility; it does NOT provide on-premises physician services or after-hours direct emergency care. However, the nurses share on-call duty in order to liaise between the American staff and the Swedish healthcare system. The nurses share on-call duty every other weekend. When on-call the incumbent is required to stay within 2 hours perimeter from the Stockholm area.
Education:
• Must meet standards for registered nurses in Western Europe. Minimum associate degree or professional nursing equivalent.
Prior work experience:
• Minimum of five years' experience in an outpatient Clinic.
Language proficiency:
• Level 4 (Fluent) Speaking/Reading/Writing English is required.
• Level 4 (Fluent) Speaking/Reading/Writing Swedish is required.
Knowledge:
• Must have knowledge of USA standards of medical nursing care.
• Must be able to counsel employees with physical or emotional/mental problems.
• Knowledge of emergency procedures.
• Ability to maintain extensive liaison and to conduct orientations and briefings, verbally and in writing.
• The ability to administer adult and pediatric immunization program according to current CDC standards are required.
• Experience in CPR instruction or interest to become a CPR instructor is required.
Skills and abilities:
• Must be able to use specialized nursing equipment and techniques.
