hela Sverige This is a strategic position that incorporates both business and technical responsibilities to identify and set the long-range Technology Plan for Volvo CE, while also identifying the sources to fund this plan. The technology plan is a 12+ year view of the evolution of underlying technologies that differentiate all of our products globally and new technologies that may support our long-term product positioning. Therefore, the Technology Planning Manager is responsible to identify and react to market and technology trends, including predicting the technological direction of our competition and planning our response in advance for a competitive entry into the market. The Technology Planning Manager is also responsible for assisting in obtaining public funding related to the major strategic objectives of our business.
Main tasks
Drive technology planning according to the technology planning process and contribute in process development/improvement.
Implement the technology planning process in assigned areas.
Manage Technology Plan/Technology Area Plan (TAP) changes through monitoring and control on TAP level (follow up on execution & propose changes).
Secure alignment of the Technology Area Plan?s in relation to assigned areas and technology plan.
Drive risk mitigation on technology plan and technology area plans.
Develop and drive key strategies.
Manage ?Intelligent Machine? and ?Electromobility? initiatives.
Provide input for Product Planning (prioritize key technologies through feature and technology correlation).
Education
MSc. or similar. MBA desirable
Technical knowledge and experience in construction equipment R&D
Business oriented and understanding of technology needs
Experience in developing proposals and building relationships internal/external
5+ years of experience in product development (component, system, and/or machine/vehicle)
2+ years of experience in strategy work
