hela Sverige We are looking for a Technology Planning Engineer to Huawei R&D in Stockholm.
In this role you will work in a small team with the responsibility to identify and analyze trends, technologies and solutions that may affect Huawei's future wireless network product portfolio. You will contribute with deep analysis in your areas of expertise, but you should also quickly, by yourself and in collaboration with local and headquarter experts, be able to learn new technology areas and provide valuable insights.
A successful wireless Technology Planning Engineer provides timely, well-documented, thorough and clear analysis work that has an impact on Huawei's Headquarters' platform and product roadmaps. That is our main contribution, but we shall also inspire and make our local experts aware of new opportunities, and in that way have an impact also on the direction of the local Huawei Sweden R&D business.
Qualifications & experience
You have a M.Sc. or a Ph.D., probably with a Telecommunication systems/algorithm or Data Science profile, and at least 8 years of relevant documented work experience.
Specific competence areas
Telecommunication systems (understands system design & standardization, visions/ideas for in which directions 5G should develop towards 6G)
3GPP/WiFi/O-RAN/Satcom/OWC (can see telecommunication systems in a wider perspective, and understands pros & cons of different system solutions.
Baseband Algorithms (understand implementation restrictions, tradeoffs between algorithm complexities and hardware resources).
RAN computing requirements and solutions (able to see compute solutions in a system context, and should preferably understand well how such solutions are implemented).
Required skills/personal characteristics
Analytical, open-minded, conscientious, solution-oriented, self-driving with a professional attitude
Fluent in English, both spoken and written
You are able to document and present your work in a clear, effective and to the point language.
This is a full-time consultancy position at Huawei R&D in Stockholm.
