Description
Do you want to take your technology development, supplier management and team leadership skills to the next level? Do you see yourself taking a global role managing the printing ink supply base for the entire Tetra Pak Group? Can you lead effectively across cultures, organisations and functions?
This opportunity is open within the Base Materials group (BaseMat). BaseMat strives to continuously adapt and improve our global base material supply platforms (paperboard, polymers, aluminium foil and ink) in collaboration with our suppliers, converting factories and development organisations.
This role will put you in contact with stakeholders across different functional and international borders - both internal and external. You will report to the Technology Director, your base will be Lund and you'll travel around 50 days/year.
Main responsibilities
• Develop and implement the global ink supply strategy and technology roadmap
• Develop people and competence within the ink technology team
• Optimise supplier/product portfolio
• Manage supply risks/opportunities
• Manage ink specification portfolio towards evolving supply, quality and cost demands
• Assure suppliers' compliance to specifications
Qualifications
You have solid leadership and collaboration skills. You have the ability to drive and implement change. You are an open person who actively shares knowledge with others. Building relations comes easy to you and you know how to balance listening with persuasion and helpfulness with firmness. You are analytical and organised which makes it easy for you to create a structure and keep track on many parallel issues. You are a good communicator and excellent at both spoken and written English.
Your academic background is probably within Chemical Engineering, Material Science or similar. You have solid experience working with inks/coatings and good knowledge in printing processes. Experience within converting and/or food packaging applications is a clear advantage, as well as experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management and/or co-development.
