Description
The costumer is in need of a FTC reinforcement to establish new monitoring capability that will take them from today's monitoring tools to new Open Source Technology. FTVC will contribute to building POC (MVP and create potential for cost-saving by creating the new capability and moving from their current EDB toolsets (PEM) and find open source alternatives. FTC will drive, lead and contribute to assigned epic, contribute to establishment of new Database monitoring Capability.
Mandatory competence and experience:
• Senior DBA Skills - Especially Postgres but also good knowledge in Oracle and SQL Server
• Comfortably working in agile methods and toolsets(JIRA, Confluence etc)
• Comfortably oriented in Enterprise Database monitoring tools or platforms ( I.e OEM, PEM, Open Source platforms)
Preferred competence and experience:
• Very good communication skills- Comfortably working in agile methods and toolsets (JIRA, Confluence etc)
• Strong knowledge of operations engineering practices using industry standard toolsets.
• Senior DBA Skills - Especially Postgres but also good knowledge in Oracle and SQL Server
• Comfortably oriented in Enterprise Database monitoring tools or platforms ( I.e OEM, PEM, Open Source platforms)'
• Proven ability in scripting, ex using Python or Ansible
• Create or modify automations through scripting languages using orchestrators and available API's
• An understanding of the shift transitioning from traditional IT towards hyper-converged, API First driven infrastructure
• Knowledge of automated testing flow using available CI/CD Toolsets
• Experience from driving and contributing to architectural discussions and decisions.
