We are looking for several experienced Technology Area Engineers to our Global Hygiene Supply who like to work with evelop world class technology for manufacturing of our market leading personal care products, this could be the position for you.
Global Hygiene Supply Personal Care enables the delivery of business needs through world-class supply chain performance tailored to the local needs by leveraging on the global scale, solutions, capabilities and best practices.
In this context, the Technology Personal Care organization contributes by developing and implementing technology to fulfil business needs in terms of cost, efficiency, innovation, flexibility, product quality and safety according to agreed Technology strategies. The Technology Personal Care department is responsible for capital investment projects in new or improved technologies including the relationship with external machine technology providers as well as machine technology procurement.

Main Tasks
As a Technology Area Engineer you have the overall technology responsibility in innovation, technology development, capacity and launch projects. You own the "technology agenda" in assigned projects and work in close cooperation with R&D, Innovation Teams, factories and suppliers to deliver according to project objectives.
This is done by translating relevant business needs into technical requirements and then, in very close cooperation with machine suppliers, secure the development of a machine solution that meets or exceed agreed KPIs.
You are part of building the Technology Strategy for the concerned Technology Area including evaluation of present and potential future machine supplier's capabilities to support Essity's needs.
Key Competencies
University degree or equivalent within relevant practice
5+ years' experience from manufacturing operations, technology and/ or R&D. Suitable backgrounds for candidates for this role are technical managers, project managers, industrial engineers, production managers or other positions with an experience of technology development in manufacturing companies
International work orientation or experience
Experience from external supplier relations
Experience in quality assurance methods (E.g. Six Sigma)
To be successful in this role you need to take strong ownership to passionately and ambitiously deliver on or beyond agreed goals and aspirations
Takes a broad stakeholder perspective and has the ability to understand stakeholder requirements, operational limitations and business opportunities
Excellent networking and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and influence people across different disciplines, cultures and positions
Ability to build trust in an open environment by involving others and building effective teams
