MAX IV is a national large-scale research laboratory providing scientists from Sweden and the rest of the world with instruments for research in areas such as materials science, structural biology, chemistry and nanotechnology. Fully developed it will receive more than 2 000 scientists annually. 200 people are currently employed at the MAX IV Laboratory.
We are offering summer work as technician within the vacuum group at MAX IV.
In this role you will participate in the preparations and the execution of the summer shutdown. This involves preparation of bakeout, assembly, handling of vacuum chambers and pumping down.
We are looking for a summer worker with technical knowledge who is dynamic with hands on skills and good command in English. Knowledge in mechanical and electrical work is an advantage.
