The ideal candidate will have a natural flexibility in handling day-to-day tasks. The Plumber will provide As a journeyman plumber, you will support commercial construction projects by installing plumbing systems, especially heating systems.
Responsibilities
What are the different tasks?
1. Inspect previously installed plumbing systems at commercial and industrial sites
2. Troubleshoot plumbing problems and replace / repair systems, piping and fixtures as needed including working on call
3. Diagnose problems, test parts with appropriate instruments, disassemble and assemble parts, and make necessary repairs to piping, fixtures and associated components.
4. Commercial plumbing installation from underground/rough-ins, stack out to trim outs on large scale commercial and industrial construction projects such as, healthcare, government, educational, manufacturing, data centers and others.
5. Install hangers and supports for pipes, equipment, and fixtures prior to installation for water, gas, compressed air, medical gas, or other liquids.
6. Read and interpret blueprints and building specifications required for each job site to accurately install systems.
7. Installation of copper, steel, cast iron, PVC, CPVC, PEX, and other piping.
8. Duties could include setting grease traps, decontamination tanks, oil interceptors, lint interceptors, utility hookups, etc.
9. Able to work from ladders and man lifts from various heights and operate the equipment as needed
10. Complete required electronic documentation daily on a handheld device
11. Work independently, and as part of a team, to complete assigned tasks within an allotted time frame
12. Operate company vehicle to complete service calls in a specified territory
13. Perform other related duties or special projects as assigned

• Outdoor Faucets
• Sprinklers
• Grooving
• Threading
• Installation of bathrooms appliances
Required skills and qualifications
1. Requires basic mechanical aptitude, mathematical and English language skills.
2. Maintain a positive, cooperative and teachable attitude
3. Initiative; self-motivated (driven), self-starter.
4. Excellent communication and customer services skills.
5. Analytical and problem-solving skills
6. Complies and promotes company Safety Policy
7. Must be able to work independently with and without supervision.
8. Ability to stand, squat, bend, stoop and comfortably lift up to 50 lbs.
9. Familiarity with blueprint, schematic, drawings, and other equipment layout materials
10. Ability to pass a full background screening and drug screening
11. Ability to pass MVR check
12. Ability to pass a physical ability test
13. Ability to travel, as needed, for projects
Physical demands & working conditions:
• Sitting/Standing/Flexibility: Ability to frequently perform physical tasks including standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching approximately 75% of the time while on solar farm sites; ability to stand and sit for 8 or more hours when in an office environment
• Walking: Ability to walk .25 to .5 miles per day, including across unpaved and rough surfaces when on solar farm sites
• Speech/Reading: Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently and deliver a variety of instructions furnished in written verbal, diagram, or scheduled form
• Lifting: Ability to frequently lift items weighing up to 50 pounds
• Climbing:
o Weight must be between 125 lbs. and 275 lbs., excluding equipment/gear worn when performing job-related tasks, to be in accordance with the ANSI Fall Protection Standards.
• Vision/Hearing: Ability to interpret and follow a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form
• Tolerance to Extreme Weather Conditions: Ability to work in adverse weather conditions 25% of the time while on solar farm sites
• Safety: Ability to understand and communicate safety precautions when necessary
Preferred skills and qualifications
• 4 years of commercial plumbing experience
• Valid / current journeyman plumbing license
• Medical Gas Certification, or ability to obtain, preferred
• Experience leading / coaching an apprentice and/or helper
• OSHA 10 hour preferred
• Able to work from ladders and man lifts from various heights and operate the equipment as needed
