We are looking for a creative technical writer to work in close cooperation with our product development team, creating user-friendly product documentation for new and updated products. To function well in the role it's crucial that you have excellent English skills. We believe you have a bachelor’s degree or similar, relevant for technical writing, and previous experience from comparable work. It's important that you enjoy writing and developing technical documents and that you have the ability to understand and translate highly technical information into valid information for our end-users.
Apart from the above we believe that you have basic technical platform knowledge and above all a keen interest in exploring and learning more about our technology. Experience and knowledge in XML (Arbortext editor), HTML, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and FrameMaker will be considered a plus.
CORPORATE MARKETING DEPARTMENT
Corporate Marketing is responsible for the global marketing strategy and planning, in accordance with the company’s overall goals and business strategy. The technical writer team is part of the corporate marketing department where the team cooperates with the product marketing team and the training team. The technical writer team consists of five team members.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The technical writers are an important link between the software/hardware development team and the end user. The goal for the technical writers at Axis is to produce world-class user documentation and marketing communication ensuring top-level customer satisfaction. This is done by studying existing material, gathering additional information from experts such as product managers and software/hardware engineers, and writing the copy for end-user communication.
Apart from this, you and your team are expected to develop and establish a cross functional workflow between the team and other expertise at Axis. You will also participate in cross-functional projects with the product marketing department.
