Your role
As a Technical Writer and Instructor, you will be involved in creating, developing and updating technical and customer documentation for our products and lead training for the end user of our products. The documentation includes System descriptions, user- and maintenance manuals, and other technical or functional descriptions and instructions. As a Technical Writer and Instructor you will be the link between developer/designer of the product and the end user of it.
The products are technical complex system within the naval domain.
As a person responsible for the technical documentation, you will collect information and data, compile it in a pedagogic and structural way and ensure that content and illustrations are up to date, correct and comply with applicable directives and standards.
In this role, you will work both in teams and alone. The role requires a lot of collaborate with both developers, integrators and experts including some international contacts.
As an Instructor you will be responsible for development of our course material, lead and teach the end user in how to operate and maintain our products. The role requires you to be able to communicate in a pedagogic way, and to have the ability to have active dialogues.
Your profile
You have a couple years of experience as a technical writer and knowledge of XML are required. Experience of S1000D will be of extra advantage. A technical education background, a background within the Swedish navy or a background within teaching is of great value.
You are eager, structured and detail-oriented. You can analyze and develop content, restructure technical information for better readability and understanding. Finally, you have the ability to transfer the information in a pedagogic way to the end user.
You have a keen interest in technology and language, and you are able to explain complex technical contexts in a simplified way, and be able to do so in both written and speech. You master both Swedish and English in speech and writing.
You have experience of speaking in front of an audience. Furthermore, you are self-driven, action-oriented, and thrive on responsibility. You have a good ability to see things from a holistic perspective and enjoy working in a role where every day is different!
This role requires you to have many contacts within the organization and good relationships with the people around you. You also need to be flexible and easy to adapt to new tasks and situations.
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
