hela Sverige Visa alla jobb hos U-Blox Malmö AB i Malmö As a Technical Writer, at u-blox you will work closely with R&D, marketing and application engineering departments to create world class customer documentation for products based on u-blox short range technology
You will be involved in creating, developing and updating customer documentation for our market-leading products that enable Wi-Fi, Bluetooth/BLE and NFC in automotive, industrial and consumer applications. This includes product summaries, user guides, integration manuals, data sheets, protocol specifications and similar documents.
You will have ownership of the language and terminology correctness used in the documentation and ensure that content and illustrations are up-to-date and according to corporate guidelines.
Additionally, this role requires developing and improving our procedures and processes regarding documentation in collaboration other technical writers in the company.
You'll join us at a modern office in Malmö and get 1000+ great and skilled colleagues from all over the world while being part of our collaboration with 14.500+ customers.
Basic qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, technical writing, related field, or comparable job experience
3+ years as a technical writer, editor, or content strategist
Experience developing, creating, and supporting content for developers and/or systems administrators
Ability to research, develop, write, and edit effective content with a focus on the intended audience, clearly communicating complex technical topics to customers
Experience working directly with engineers and other technical subject matter experts.
Experience managing content projects, including coordinating with other teams
Experience with markup languages such as HTML, XML, LaTeX and relevant tools (Oxygen XML, DITA Open Toolkit , Doxygen, DitaExchange)
Experience with Sharepoint and Microsoft Office 365
Experience with publishing (e.g. Adobe InDesign) and structured documentation editing software.
Knowledge of lifecycle tools (e.g. GitLab), collaboration software (e.g. JIRA, Confluence etc.) and version control systems (e.g. SVN, Git, etc.)
Strong bias for action, being proactive, and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
Fluent in English and skilled in editing in English
Preferred qualifications
5+ years as a technical writer, editor, or content strategist, with a focus on software or workflow applications
Experience working directly with global development teams
Experience working in an agile content development environment
Strong familiarity with short range technologies (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth/BLE, NFC) and ability to understand relevant technical concepts
Familiarity with general-purpose programming languages (e.g. C, C++, Python, etc.)
Track record of improving processes and tools, contributing to the effectiveness of the program and operational efficiency
Ability to work independently in ambiguous, fast-paced, and ever-changing situations and assignments
