If you seek to make a difference on a global scale, working with next-gen technologies and the sharpest collaborative teams, then we could be a perfect match.
Volvo Energy, our newest business area, drives the Volvo Group's transformation in electrification, sustainability, circularity, comprehensive service offerings, profitable growth, and resilience.
At Volvo Energy, you will be given a unique opportunity to shape and drive the development of this new business for Volvo Group. You will do this together with a set of skilled and talented colleagues. Together, we are committed to developing solutions that advance circularity and lead us toward a more sustainable future.
The role
As Technical Training Manager, you will design, implement, and lead the global technical training and certification framework for our Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) service organization.
This position will be responsible for management and coordination of internal and external training & development programs for all locations and ensuring consistency of all learning and development programs and initiatives. Your work will directly support quality performance, warranty risk reduction, and scalable service growth.
Responsibilities
In this role, you'll have the exciting opportunity to shape and lead a global technical training program for Volvo Energy's Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) products and services. You will be the driving force behind creating scalable, modern learning experiences-leveraging innovative formats, digital tools, and new technologies to ensure our service partners around the world can grow their expertise with ease and confidence.
You will design clear certification and authorization pathways that empower external service partners to develop their competencies step by step. With a structured framework in place, you'll also build and maintain certification tracking systems, competence matrices, and key training KPIs that keep us aligned and continuously improving.
Your work will span classroom instruction, digital learning, and hands-on training, giving you the chance to connect deeply with learners and bring our products and solutions to life. You'll create and update all training materials-manuals, guides, and digital content-making sure they reflect the latest developments from our products and the insights we gather from real-world field performance.
A crucial part of your mission is ensuring partner technicians are properly certified and authorized before they enter the field. To do this, you'll collaborate closely with teams across Quality, Engineering, and Service, integrating product updates and field feedback into a seamless, evolving training ecosystem.
If you're passionate about empowering others, driving high-quality learning experiences, and helping shape the future of energy solutions, this role offers the impact, creativity, and global reach to make it happen.

What Makes This Role Exciting?
Welcome to a team unified by an important mission, great ideas, fun, diversity and inclusiveness, where each colleague truly matters and plays an important role in our journey. In a smaller company such as Volvo Energy, you won't be limited to a narrow scope. You will be involved in, and learn about, all aspects of BESS development and business, making every day different and exciting.
We often face uncertainty, but we're not afraid to take risks and learn from our experiences. This is a great opportunity to help shape and improve how we work to achieve success.
