If TV was reinvented today - what would it look like?
Magine is a cloud-based service for watching live, time shifted and recorded TV. Say goodbye to complicated set-ups and lock-in contracts with your existing cable operator and say hello to TV as it should be. We are a group of digital entrepreneurs; pay TV veterans and a world-class development team working out of Stockholm, Sweden. And we love TV!
In all honesty:
We are building a tv streaming service and all that it entails as far as infrastructure, architecture, operations, latency, reliability, uptime and so on. We'll need you to bring the system to it's knees and then push it to it's breaking point. We want our systems to be up for the challenges of the real world and we need you to help us take them there.

What:
Our systems and services are in a state of continuous development and improvement and we wish to test things at the same pace as we develop them. These parts of the system are of such a nature that they usually lack a GUI so you will be working with APIs and the rare CLI. You will need to develop software to test these systems that can be automatically executed and will be responsible for building and maintaining these internal systems for test automaton. You will be an integral part of the dev team from concept to implementation. You and your team will decide what needs to get done and when to do it.
Wishlist (Things we think we want but if you think you know better we'd be happy to hear your case):
Education:
You probably have a Bachelor of computer science or a Masters. If you are a prodigy of software test, we'd be happy to give you a run for your money.
Work experience:
• You have worked with programmatically testing backend systems
• You are independent and you take initiative
• You are a competent code hacker in a couple of languages (we all have our favourites but you need to be able to read, understand, adapt and create code)
• To cut to the chase. You are a competent computer engineer and you know your stuff. You don't need to know all vi shortcuts or all the ins and outs of git but you need to be able to work with both tools.
• You are a competent software tester and you might know who James Bach is. You know why it rarely is a good idea to follow the waterfall development process. You are an authority in software test.
• When we say that we follow agile principles, you think something in the terms of "sure, whatever you say."
• By the way, we follow Agile principles. You know what we mean when we say Kanban and rightshifting (and you sort of like it. At least a little bit).
