Role Description
To further strengthen BD Biosciences technical support team in Belgium we are now looking for a Swedish speaking Technical Support Specialist with experienced in flow cytometry.
Your primary responsibility will be to give technical and scientific customer support by phone, remote desktop and email to the Nordic region and UK regarding flow cytometry. You will be conducting real-time diagnosis and troubleshooting and provide the first line of support. If a solution can’t be found, you will route the problem to the field based organization. You will provide the local sales representative, application specialist and field service engineer with detailed information of the customer interaction if required.
As a technical support specialist you will also be responsible for the maintenance of the instruments in our European training center. You will develop and maintain the existing troubleshooting database and help desk guidelines, procedures and policies by reviewing all help desk documentation, such as technical service bulletins, and problem resolution flowcharts. Over time there will be opportunities to be involved in technical service improvement projects and to give instrument training courses for customers and BD personal.
You will belong to the North-West Europe Technical Support Center and be part of a multicultural team. The technical support team is an integral part of BD:s highly appreciated and valued added service that BD offers to flow cytometry users, which aims to ensure the successful application of BD:s products and systems in their research or clinical workplace. This position is based in Belgium and will start when the right person is appointed.
Qualifications
We believe the successful candidate holds a MSc or PhD degree in a Life Science related discipline and have a relevant laboratory experience within immunology or cell biology. It is also possible to be a experienced field service engineer with experience from hospital or laboratory environment. Knowledge in flow cytometry, through use of flow cytometry analyzers, cell sorters and associated software is a great advantage. You are fluent, both written and verbal, in Swedish and English.
As a person you have strong problem solving skills and have a technical interest. You are methodical, organized and communicative. If you are a customer focused team player and are looking for a international experience this is the right opportunity for you!
We are offering a dynamic and educational work within flow cytometry in an international arena in Belgium. Help with relocation is provided.
