We are now looking to expand the support team with a Technical Support Engineer, focusing on both Industrial IoT/automation solutions. You will work with the latest technology and be part of the proud team responsible for supporting and training of customers, partners and value-added distributors mainly in EMEA.
The Opportunity
Strong customer orientation with focus on support and service is one of the things that makes Beijer Electronics unique in the industrial automation industry. As a Technical Support Engineer, based in Malmö, you will be part of the proactive team providing expert help, wherever it's needed.
Your main tasks will be to resolve technical issues through competent and inclusive trouble shooting, engage in training and educational initiatives and occasional field support.
The Technical Support Engineer role is collaborative, and you will work closely together with our R&D, Product Management, Quality, Service and Sales teams to handle and solve cases.
The successful applicant
We are looking for a proactive, solution-orientated and passionate engineer with technical support, software development, automation or similar experience. Since our solutions are built on openness and flexibility it's mandatory that the applicant has experience in object-oriented programming: this is to be able to automate, troubleshoot and provide application support.
We believe you have a genuine interest in finding the right solution for our customers. This means that you have great trouble shooting and problem-solving skills combined with an excellent customer focus. You enjoy customer interactions which can include occasional travel.
We strive to continuously improve both our technical knowledge and processes, and this should be a driving force for you as well. In addition to the above, capabilities within the following fields is desirable:
Communication (e.g. MQTT, Ethernet, OPC DA/UA, Field buses)
Experience from supporting SaaS, IoT or Automation solutions
HMI/SCADA programming/design
PLC programming, preferably Codesys
You may have a Higher Vocational Education (YH), technical Bachelor's or Master's degree within Electronics or Computer Science, alternatively we value relevant work experience. Since we work in an international environment, excellent knowledge of both written and spoken Swedish and English is a prerequisite. Additional languages are considered a merit.
