Who are we?

Volvo Autonomous Solutions (V.A.S) is a new entity within the Volvo Group with the mission to offer transport solutions never seen before. We accelerate the development, commercialization, and sales of autonomous transport solutions, focusing on defined segments for the on- and off-road space. What 's the role?

The Technical Support team is V.A.S. first line of technical support for the operation of our customers' transport systems. We are an engineering team that make sure that all technical issues are resolved effectively to ensure operation uptime, with maintained efficiency and technical compliance.

Our team provide both back-office support and on-site trouble shooting and repair. We manage upgrades and modifications of the transport systems during the operation. We also set and follow up Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and analyse information of our transport systems' quality, efficiency, and uptime.

Our team interact closely with colleagues from Volvo Group Trucks Technology, Volvo Construction Equipment, etc. to resolve any issues related to the high-quality trucks and machines that V.A.S. transport systems are based on. In a similar way, we interact with the entire V.A.S. Technology team to resolve issues and prioritize needed system improvements of the Autonomous Driving System (ADS).

The team is also closely connected to V.A.S. internal incident management team, where any incident or accident is evaluated, communicated, and coordinated.

As a member of the Technical Support team, you contribute to the overall team's responsibilities and tasks described above. The team is initially based in Sweden and is part of the Transport Systems and Machines/Vehicles team in Volvo Autonomous Solutions' Technology organization.
