The department Active Safety & Autonomous Drive consists of over 400 ambitious and skilled engineers and is responsible for all the way from research and advanced engineering to industrialization of current and future customer offers. We have a global footprint and we have collaborations with our Tech Offices in Silicon Valley and Lund.



We are now looking for a Technical Specialist within the area of Computer Vision.



We are already today a number of Technical Specialists within the Autonomous Drive and Active Safety function, being a team that focus on emerging technologies. As technical expert within the computer vision area, you will join the emerging tech team that consists of people with mixed skills and backgrounds. Together you have an important mission in our tech scouting efforts in the quest of finding new interesting technologies that can be explored further in order to support our strive of being a leading company within Autonomous Drive, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assist Systems) and Protective Safety.


What will you do?
As a Technical expert, you will lead and guide the organisation within your area of competence. You will take on the responsibility to promote and drive the technology used internally and externally by capturing research, technology and business trends. You manage technology roadmaps and lead strategic discussions. You also take part of evaluating new SoC's and ASiCs from a computer vision application perspective.



You will bring new ideas and prototypes to life together with other groups internally or with external parties such as start-ups, universities or other more established companies with interesting technologies in their product portfolio. It is an important part of your responsibilities to work cross functional together with different teams, practicing innovation from end to end, i.e. from exploration/ideation towards concrete implementation in our future products, achieving success as one team.



We will encourage and expect you to participate in different forums within your area of expertise, but also being a speaker at conferences and delivering conference papers. You will also be responsible to deliver educational material and teaching activities for your internal colleagues.



You and your profile
To be successful in this job, you need to have excellent knowledge within development of classical computer vision based algorithms. Your expertise lies within computer vision and/or machine learning, especially deep learning. You should also have some competence within deep learning development and architectures associated with deep learning within computer vision related applications. Other qualifications we are looking for are:
• PhD or M.Sc in Electrical Engineering /Computer Science /Physics or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience with frameworks such as Tensorflow, Keras, Pytorch.
• Experience in working with software development in embedded real time systems.
• Fluency in Python and/or C/C++.
• Fluent in English.
