Do you want to work in a global team together with motivated Backup Technical Specialist?
Our team develop, operate and support Volvo AB and also external customers that host their Backup systems at Volvo IT. We are in the forefront in our use of the latest technology.
We are now looking for new team members with experience in Storage Backup area who wants to continue develop the environment with us.
We are running TSM Backup 6.2 on a Linux platform in 40 different installations, today with the backup stored on disk and the TSM DB2 database on Solid State Disk. And we are running deduplication on the TSM servers.
We are also using Backup solution with snapshots technique on Storage level in EMC and NetApp storage for the backup's in Open environment like Unix, Windows and VMware. In iSeries we are using BRMS and z/OS DFSMShsm
Qualifications:
• Many years of experience in Storage within large/complex environment
• Storage experience in backup solutions
• Experience of Storage Operations from Windows, Unix/Linux environments.
• Additional skills in storage backup area, like how to backup/restore database.
The general qualifications are that you have an adequate academic education and that you are a communicative team-player. You have a proactive mindset and structured approach, you are a good listener that likes to share knowledge and in continuous improvement. You should also have excellent skills in maintaining and producing documents. Since our corporate language is English, you must be able to speak and write English fluidly. You have the ability establish and maintain good relations and also have the ability to work in a global, multi-cultural organization, and share our core values Professionalism, Respect and Spirit.
