We are looking for a technical troubleshooter with strong analytical skills that is service minded and prepared to communicate with our customers in a professional manner. Technical knowledge is a natural part of our daily work and we see problems as opportunities to learn and develop.
Job description
The main responsibility of the Technical Services Specialist is to analyze technical problems and to supply customers with expert advice and service related to the use of our software. You may occasionally supply customers with on?site assistance which might require travelling.
A successful candidate has keen interest both in software/systems for trading and the Financial Markets. Although you focus on technical issues you need to have, or develop, an understanding of the use of the software and the underlying business.
Qualifications
You have a degree in Engineering or Computer Science or 2-3 years of experience in the financial industry or a financial software/development environment. You are fluent in both spoken and written English and have excellent troubleshooting/problem solving and communication skills. You are a methodical and stress tolerant team player that can handle a several ongoing issues.
You also need knowledge in some of the following areas:
• Windows Server and/or Solaris/Linux
• Relational database systems - Microsoft SQL Server and/or Sybase
• Programming in Python
• Understanding of C, C++
• Networking TCP/IP
