The Role
The Parts Business and Pump Serviceability department for Transport in Sundbyberg is responsible for the Spare Part Business, services and support related to Transport and Flygt products for their affiliated companies around the world. The overall responsibility scope in a role as a Service Support and Training Engineer is a fun mix of practical and theoretical technical support regarding Spare Part, Service, Installation and Commissioning.
You will offer support and training either off- or on-site depending the service complexity. The off-site support is provided on-line via the Case Management System, emails or telephone. The on-site support is provided as service training and hands-on help in complicated service, installation and commissioning cases. Besides the general support to the market, you will also authorize distributor workshops and contribute in product development projects with your pump service knowledge.
In this role, you will report to the Parts Business and Serviceability Manager and your location will be at Xylems office in Sundbyberg. Since this role is located in Sweden we assume that you have accommodation here and as the role requires on-site support and training, flexibility to travel (approx. 25%) worldwide is required.
Is this you?
You have at least a Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering education equivalent to the Swedish Technical Gymnasium. You have many years of practical experiences from repair workshops or field service activities with pumps or similar machines and are very familiar with electrical power supply and control panels for the pumps.
In this recruitment the personal qualities will be of great importance. You are analytical and have a demonstrated ability to resolve difficult technical issues but also a profound business attitude and the ability to build good relationships. You can improvise to solve a problem and get the job done even if the circumstances are unfavourable.
To fit for this role, you have an outgoing persona with good communications skills. Travelling and to meet people from different cultures is something that inspires you and to combine class room presentations in front of 30 people with the hands-on parts of the service training courses is a situation you handle well and enjoy!
Fluency in English both written and oral is essential, and other languages are a plus.
