Jeppesen Gothenburg is seeking motivated individuals with very strong technical capabilities, combined with the ability and desire to learn about, and work with, complex system installations for either Planning or Tracking products.The open positions as Technical Service Manager are opportunities to work in an international environment with a team of likeminded System Experts in a leading edge expanding software company.The global Service Management team, where this role is member, consists of 25 Service Managers, operating from three different locations; Gothenburg, Montreal and Singapore.
As a Service Manager you will:
Become an authority on 1 or more production system installations
Participate in ongoing installation projects
Provide advanced technical support for our day of Crew Scheduling products, in relation to the Service Level Agreement(s)
Assist our clients with knowledge injections, proactive problem solving and daily management of the production installation
Provide System requirements to the Product Development team
For the Tracking products: Participate in a 24x7 standby roster
The role as a Technical Service Manager at Jeppesen requires individuasl who are experienced and interested in an array of IT related technical areas. A minimum of Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent is required. A good knowledge of Unix and/or Linux (you probably have it installed at home!) is a must and so is a familiarity with shell scripting. English is our corporate language and is also required.
The successful candidates take ownership of issues, have strong technical & analytical aptitude, are self starters and enjoy solving problems. You also like to work independently as well as within a team.
