The Technical Sales/Product Specialist is part of the Allgon Microwave Sales & Marketing organization and reports to the Director Marketing & Sales. The role is an important sales and marketing supporting tool and includes responsibility for virtually all technical commercial knowledge for our radio link products and services. The major responsibility for the Technical Sales & Product Specialist is to assure that the sales force has all the necessary and wanted technical support towards the market (partners and customers) to its disposal. In addition, technical sales maintains relations with other market forces such as market analysts, competitors and other players in the broader market sense. As the main base for all technical-commercial knowledge, it delivers market feedback to the Time To Market process. In many instances technical sales will operate and communicate directly towards partners, customers and other market players.
Responsibilities include:
Technically responsible for named accounts/regions (working in parallel with the responsible Account Manager), including:
• Design and propose technical communication solutions
• Handle technical issues raised by the customer, partners or account management
• Lead and perform technical meetings with customers
• Hold technical presentations supporting the values of our portfolio
Take responsibility for technical parts of RFQ/RFP handling:
• Perform system installations (i.e. test sites) and system tests when the need arises
• Support the production of technical marketing material (application notes, product notes, white papers, course material etc.)
• Perform technical services; including technical consulting and possibly courses
In addition:
• Be the “Product Specialistâ€? for the Management system, and Ethernet/IP solutions in the portfolio
• Be available as technical interface from the commercial department towards the R&D organisation
• Be able to handle product related marketing tasks
• Participate in seminars, fairs and other marketing activities
Requirements:
The role has a high focus towards customers and the market and technical pre-sale will be the main focus. To suit this position you should preferably have Master of Engineering and minimum 3-5 years of experience from similar work and/or business area. Furthermore you should have excellent communication and team working skills. You are result oriented with a forward thinking approach with excellent problem solving skills and you are used to work independently.
