Cobra Biologics is a leading biologics and pharmaceutical contract development and manufacturing organisation dedicated to establishing itself as best in class for its international life science customers. Across our three facilities in Keele (UK), Södertälje (Sweden) and Matfors (Sweden) we deliver quality commercial, clinical, and pre-clinical products. Cobra's services include; cell line development, analytical and process development, cGMP production of recombinant proteins, antibodies, DNA, viruses and whole cell products as well as fill and finish and lyophilisation of small molecules and biological API?s. All our programs meet cGMP standards with full regulatory support.

A vacancy has arisen for a Technical Sales Manager able to support new business development with expert knowledge or special interest in secondary manufacturing and analytical testing of small molecule pharmaceuticals and bio-therapeutics. The vacancy is within the international Commercial Department and the role will require the successful candidate to work form a home office, or from any of Cobra?s Swedish sites with frequent travel to the commercial fill & finish facility in Matfors, Sweden as well as supporting the Sales Team at Trade Shows and Scientific Conferences.

Main duties could slightly differ depending on the applicant but would likely include:

• Sales forecasting for existing customers
• Support Cobra?s global sales force with technical expertise & proposal generation input
• Deliver on sales with focus on secondary manufacturing
• Active involvement in the promotion and marketing of Cobra, e.g. attending conferences, Pharmacluster network meetings, etc.
• Build and actively maintain a relationship with prospects, clients and a network among relevant industry players
• Strategic and business plan input

The ideal applicant will possess a Science and/or commercial degree or equivalent qualification, be commercially aware and have gained previous experience in technical or project management, key accounting or selling multi-disciplinary projects and working within a pharmaceutical or high technology manufacturing company. You will be expected to communicate in English but Swedish, German and additional language knowledge is a merit.

Candidates should be familiar with final dose pharmaceutical or high technology product development and formal regulatory processes and also have gained previous exposure to product development and manufacturing processes either through direct work experience or relevant project/account/business management activities.
