Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

Customized solutions for trucks is an important and growing area where Scania aim to fulfil specific customer's demands and to enter into new segments and markets.

The section is responsible for the development of customized trucks (S-order) in areas from alternative fuels and electrification to specialized applications such as mining, heavy haulage and fire trucks etc. Everything we do starts with a direct customer demand. We are not only involved in the development of new products but we are also engaged in each and every S-order truck until it leaves Scania's gates.

At our section we strive for a work environment where we help and trust each other and where all skills and experiences are utilized in the best way possible. We are now looking for new collegues to our Active S-order Coaching (ASC) team where you will work together with other technical sales engineers. We offer a healthy and inspiring work place with plenty of opportunities for you to develop and progress in your career.

About the team
The ASC team works with supporting our distributors directly regarding technical solutions and sales support. The team acts as a direct link between R&D and the distributors and their sales force without filters. The team is based both in Södertälje and in a satellite office in Liljeholmen, Stockholm.

Your assignment
The major part of the job is to communicate with our distributors and together find both new demands and suitable solutions to fulfil the customer wishes in a quick way. We use the modular system in an extensive way and compromise solutions are proposed to speed up the development. The solutions can vary from e.g. developing new technical solutions, updating of certificates or simply providing more information to guide the customer to the best already available solution.

The most important is to really understand the customer needs - as that guides us to the smartest solution. Since the requests can involve any part of the truck, the work involves a lot of new challenges.

Part of the job is also to create and spread information internally but also to the distributors and back into factory. Due to the close work with our distributors at our markets travelling is also part of the job.

Your Profile
You are a graduate engineer, or equivalent, in Integrated Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, Vehicle Engineering or similar. You have experience of development and/or production and you have demonstrated a desire of learning and testing new things.

We attach particular importance to:

• Excellent communication skills, English is a requirement and other languages are a merit.
• You are flexible and able to change direction quickly due to changing market demands. You are also willing to step out of your comfort zone and try new challenges and new technical areas.
• Most likely you have good knowledge about the whole truck and you are interested in, and able to see, the broader picture!
• Knowledge about Scania's products and modular system is highly meriting. Work experience from similar positions and tools such as OAS and Catia is also meriting.
