Technical Sales Engineer - Volvo Trucks

Being involved in the creation of our products and having a real effect on our results can actually be your day-to-day job, if you come and work with us as Technical Sales Engineer!

We are a team of 13 engineers who really like working together, helping each other and with lots of motivation and energy to do our very best in order to support our dealers with the most suitable truck for the customer. The work we do is very motivating as well, because our work has such a big impact on the Volvo Trucks financial result - which really makes us feel like our work matters and is important. Another plus is that we get daily feedback on the work we do, from both the manufacturers, the retailers and the suppliers.

Your mission as Technical Sales Engineer
You are responsible to help the dealers and market companies to customize Volvo trucks to the customer's needs, all in a technical-commercial environment. You support dealers with product and technical advice concerning our trucks product range and assist the dealer in using sales tools and systems.

You have daily contact with people from different cultures and organizations, solving problems and giving technical suggestions. You will work globally, being responsible for a geographical area and the stakeholders within the area. With your interest in finding solutions, you are the link between sales organizations and manufacturing. That also involves implementing, developing and quoting Customer Adaptation requests in close partnership with your colleagues, the regional product manager, field sales engineer and the factory-engineering department.

Scope of the Job:
Drive quality, improvements and stability in the Customer Adaptation process
Develop concepts for shorter lead-time and increased flexibility
Follow up Customer Adaptation intake and support sales organization with different solution
Develop and implement business rules
Drive performance in the Volvo Trucks Customer Adaptation process through networking and follow up on relevant KPI's

Who do we believe that you are?
We have an idea of who you are, which can be described in:
You love trucks. You have a huge technical interest in the automotive industry and have a relevant educational background (preferably University degree). If you have knowledge and experience of working with trucks and the automotive industry that is considered a plus.
You are eager to continuously learn and develop, work with continuous improvements and contribute to the big picture. We promise you that you will be challenged much plus develop and learn a lot, so this is really important attributes for you to have.
You have good communication skills (fluent in both Swedish and English), an open and positive mindset and strong customer focus - since the job is about giving customer support, communicating and building relationships. We also believe you are a professional team player with networking abilities, since a lot of the work is done in cooperation with others and cross functionally both within and outside of Volvo Group.
You are comfortable in learning and handle several different IT systems and figure out how they are all connected. You also enjoy analyzing data and have competence in tools like Power BI, Qlick etc.

To summarize it all, most important of all is really your motivation for learning and developing, plus your interest for our brand. We love to develop, create and construct our Trucks.
