Sandvik Powder Solutions AB, within Sandvik Materials Technology (SMT), is a subsidiary of the Sandvik Group specialized in materials technology solutions and a world leader in products based on powder metallurgy. We manufacture tailor-made components in weights from 100 grams to 15 tons in high-concentration steel, nickel and cobalt alloys. Our customers are found throughout the world in sectors such as oil and gas, manufacturing and power generation.

At Marketing and Sales, we are responsible for the sales of these tailor-made solutions, and for the development of new applications. Since our whole range of products and services is created in alignment with the needs of our customers, we need a team with a high level of technical skills to meet their demands. We are now looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to strengthen our team in the mission of increasing order intake and creating new applications. This position is located in Surahammar and international travel is a natural part of the job.

Your challenge - Ensuring satisfied customer and a proactive business development approach
In this position, you are responsible for creating successful business opportunities in close collaboration with our customers. You take charge of the whole process, from initiating new customers to managing key accounts; including administration, support and following up on results. Visiting customers and attending relevant fairs, events and seminars is an important part of the job, enabling you to stay up to date on the latest technologies in the area. Furthermore, you assist the Marketing & Sales Manager in creating marketing- and sales plans that aligns with the overall business objectives.

Your profile - A problem-solving sales engineer with great technical know-how
We are looking for someone with a technical background, preferably within metallurgy or mechanics, and a genuine interest in - and experience of - sales processes. Knowledge of the oil & gas industry and nuclear power is an advantage in this position, as is a background in the iron and steel industry. As we act both locally and in a global setting, you have good skills in English and Swedish, both written and verbal.
