Optinova Innovation Center (OIC) is the hub where we develop our business from a technical perspective. Our cross functional teams work closely with internal and external customers.
As a Technical Purchaser at Optinova Group, you will source and purchase polymer raw materials, machined parts and electrical components for advanced custom production and prototyping machinery. You will support the OIC team with sourcing and structure a network of trusted suppliers. Your expertise will be a valuable asset to our team and drive our success.
The workplace is preferably located at Optinova Innovation Center (OIC) in Godby, Åland, but it's also possible to be located at the Nordic sales office in Uppsala, Sweden.
To succeed in this role, you need to have the following:
Degree in mechanical, electrical engineering or business administration/supply chain mgmt
Experience with sourcing and purchasing within the technical field
Great communication and relationship building skills, as you know this is a team work
Closing skills, a strong urge to chase down needed deliveries to enable success of your team
Fluent English skills
We'd also appreciate if you to have some of the following knowledge and experiences
Swedish or Finnish language skills
Structured approach to enable a tactical/strategical approach to our technical purchases, continuously improving the supply network and tactical supplier/part selection
Experience from purchasing for machine / robot building
Experience from medical device or polymer industry
