What will you do?
As Technical Purchaser you are part of our Technical purchasing team within Ship Management. They handle all technical purchasing for our entire fleet of vessels. The team consists of three technical purchasers and we are now strengthening the team with two more positions. You will be responsible for the technical purchase for some of the vessels and utilize approved suppliers, global agreements and negotiate terms to select suppliers.
Some of your key responsibilities:
• Work according to Stena Line purchasing process, policy & other guiding documents
• Negotiate terms and make supplier selections
• Quality assessments
• Convert approved goods requisitions into purchase orders
• Quote for price (RFQ)
• Update the system with order-confirmation details
• Make agreements after approval by Purchasing Manager
• Implement the agreements in the organisation
• On a weekly basis, report all purchase savings made during the week
• On a regular basis, benchmark prices, suppliers and terms with the other technical purchasers

Who are you?
At Stena Line your personality matters as much as how good you are at what you do. We are looking for someone with a can do-mindset, who is not afraid of making things happen. You should be engaged and have a lot of ambition and drive. If you are the social chameleon that can have a dialogue with our staff on the vessels as well as negotiating with our suppliers, you might be the perfect fit.
The nice to have's:
• A few years of work experience, preferably in marine purchasing
• Technical or purchasing education
• A background in the marine, maybe you have been to sea and are now looking for work ashore
• Fluent in Swedish and English, written as well as spoken
