hela Sverige The Accelerator Division at the European Spallation Source (ESS) in Lund, Sweden, invites applications for a Technical project planner.
Description of directorate/division
The Accelerator Division is responsible for the design, construction, commissioning and operation of the ESS accelerator. The pulsed superconducting linac, to be built in Lund, will produce a 5 MW average power proton beam, driving the worlds's most powerful neutron source. The RF group is responsible for design of the RF system for the ESS accelerator. Today we counts to six people, and by the end of 2013 we aim to number 12.
Qualifications and main responsibilities
As Technical project planner your main responsibilities will be to assist in the planning, management, scheduling, and follow-up of the RF work package in the accelerator division. Tasks within the design and construction of the RF system will be part of the responsibilities. The RF work package is one of the largest work package of the accelerator system. To be successful in this position we believe you have a master's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent and practical experience of technical project management work. Experience of RF is required.
It will be an advantage if you have experience of working in an industrial environment and has links with both industrial and academic partners. Experience of software planning tools is an advantage, as well as experience of budgeting and manpower planning.
Strong communication, team work and collaboration skills are a must. Your English skills are excellent both spoken and written.
The position is permanent with six months initial probationary period. Your work place will be situated in Lund, Sweden.
