Vattenfall is committed to accelerate fossil free living with the power of renewables. In Vattenfall Offshore we accelerate through a robust and leading build out of our project pipeline. As a result of constant growth we are looking to recruit the top project management candidate(s) to take on the position as Technical Project Manager working with the full EPC concepts for our Offshore Windfarm projects from early development till the first Tollgate (Horizon Projects). You will be reporting to the Head of Park Design Offshore in BU Offshore Wind.
BU Offshore Wind is part of Business Area Wind which is responsible for Vattenfall's Onshore and Offshore Wind as well as other non-hydro Renewable activities like PV/Solar. Today we develop, construct and operate wind farms across Europe.
In the role you will during the early development phase be responsible for securing the full technical top notch and best LCoE solutions for the wind farm including Transmission and Grid, and during the O&M phase securing the operational fit of the product to the specific site in collaboration with the specific wind farm and potential suppliers. The solution will be developed together with the Pipeline Development and Technical Solution Team, who are responsible for the project/product development. During the early Project development phase you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of the potential technical solutions/offtake/partnering that will be used to get the potential projects through the first Project Development Milestone.
You will be working with internal and external stakeholders to develop the selling storyline as well lead the Business Case assumptions that have to be presented towards the management.
Primary tasks as Technical Project Manager:
Lead the technical development in cooperation with our product teams from the early development phase until handover to our Project development teams. You are the link between the product teams into consenting, BID, TG2 and construction processes.
You are responsible for the asset Project Design Envelope and must ensure that the best overall technical solution, fulfilling targets on e.g. HSE, Levelized Cost of Energy (LCoE), Quality, risk etc. is delivered from Wind Farm Design. This by continuous interaction with System Design and the Technical Solution Team.
Successfully manage and motivate a multicultural and multi-disciplined project team across boarders in a matrix organization.
Ensuring correct scoping of site investigations and technical studies (e.g. GRID connection characteristic) and correct scoping of Consent and technical solutions and plan the decommissioning project.
Ensuring technical inputs are translated into project specific CAPEX, OPEX and AEP which form the basis of the business case.
Responsible for identifying relevant Project budgets (e.g. spend on technical studies, spend on resources split by tasks and competence).
Ensure product readiness, including HSSE, quality and supplier contracts matching into the Project governance timeline.
Drive collaboration in the teams internally and externally.

Qualifications

Your profile as Technical Project Manager:
Min 5 years' experience of Project Management, preferably from Offshore or Large infrastructure projects.
Experience, knowledge and competence equivalent to IPMA level B or PMI PgMP.
Solid and robust knowledge and understanding of technical levers' impact on business case.
Experience in leading teams and individual contributors in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary environment, driving progress and solutions towards the target.
Strong financial skills to lead the Business Cases across multiple projects in the early development stage.
Strong communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills
Strong ability to structure, analyse and interpret data as well as strong communication and negotiation skills.
Understanding of permits and consenting specifics impact on technical design
Overall good communication, technical and commercial skills - your command of English is strong, both verbally and written.
