THE POSITION
As Project Manager, you will lead, motivate and empower teams to deliver technical projects that are in line with Viaplays vision and strategy: being the premier video streaming service for both live and on-demand content. Our organisation is constantly under change. We quickly need to learn and adapt to changing business priorities, new market needs and new technology.
THE CHALLENGE AHEAD
You will work closely with the business and the development teams to ensure that projects deliver value. You will be part of our project management office who plan, drives and coordinates the larger technical initiatives within Viaplay. Daily activities will include driving multiple projects in parallel and be responsible for user story breakdown, technical investigations as well stakeholder communication & presentation.
• Ensure that new initiatives are clear from a business and technical perspective
• Ensure deliveries are progressing through "hands-on" coordination
• Develop good relationship with development managers, architects and developers to secure a smooth process for user story mapping, dependency tracking and technical investigation
• Drive technical investigations which involves all different part of the organisation
• Make sure you understand the business needs and ensure everyone around you understand this as well
• Be an inspiration and champion for the teams you work with
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We believe that you have at least five years of similar experience within the software development sphere with a thorough understanding of the processes required when developing software. You will work directly with multiple engineering teams and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure productivity and progress on multiple concurrent projects. It is therefore important that you are comfortable to engage directly with executives from different projects and partners, communicate well in a non-prestigious way, while also managing project timelines and budgets. We also think you are flexible for change and eager to take on new challenges and have a combination of computer engineering background and strong project management skills.
• Experience from project management from a modern development environment
• Experience from a product development organisation
• Familiar with requirement gathering and break down
• Excellent communication skills - used to communicating with different stakeholders and suppliers
• High proficiency in English, both written and spoken
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience with consumer technology/entertainment
