Technical Project leader Vehicle Concept Phase
As the Technical Project Leader for the Vehicle concept phase you are responsible to define and develop the vehicle concepts. Secure that the vehicle comply with a balanced product description and order. You will lead the development of the initial dimensioning vehicle requirement and do estimations on all cost affecting the business case. You will interact cross functional with Engineering functions, Product Planning, Finance and Design.
The unit Vehicle Integration leads all complete vehicle activities as CAE, Attributes, Concept and Geometrical integration, Hardware build and complete vehicle verification. We make sure the Car will have the right vehicle performance characteristics and balance
Responsibilities and tasks
• Responsibility to lead all activities in the concept phase for Vehicle projects
• Create and communicate overall timing and deliverables during the concept phases
• Secure that the right targets and balance are made on complete vehicle level
• Lead and develop a vehicle project with the right concept selected, geometry compliance and fulfil the initial product description and a positive business case
• Lead and solve complexed engineering issues
• Report overall timing, status, issues and solution on vehicle level
• Member of the project core team
• Reporting to the Vice President Vehicle Integration in all project matters
Profile and Background
• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering or equivalent
• Experience from leading attribute areas within automotive industry.
• Experience from leading compete vehicle activities in the concept phase within the automotive industry
• Good knowledge of automotive architecture definitions, concepts, standards and requirements with focus on the concept phase.
• Strong personal drive and motivation with ability to take initiative and drive issues
• Analytic and problem solving mindset
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to interact effectively with senior management and other organizations
• Passion for engineering and product excellence
• Strong in motivate and engage people to solve issues and move forward
• Have the ability to do engineering judgement and decision making on inadequate facts and data.
• Self-starter with ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, growing and developing organization
• Fluent in English, spoken and written.
• You have a cultural awareness and experience, especially Chinese - European culture
