Do you want to join us on our journey to change the industry?
Epiroc is a leading productivity partner for the mining and infrastructure industries. With cutting-edge technology, Epiroc also develops and assembles one of the world's most advanced battery systems. Our vision is to simplify the transition to a safe and carbon-free mining and infrastructure industry by daring to think new.
We are now looking for a Technical Product Manager for our battery system who wants to work at the forefront of technology and to join us in changing how the global industry is powered. In this role, you will be a part of our Rocvolt Team - a fairly small team who are accelerating the business and therefore look for colleagues that thoroughly enjoy this entrepreneurial challenge, can hit the ground running and are eager to learn. You will get to be a part of a core strategic initiative and get exposure to many parts of the company and our business.
We see ourselves as a start-up company within Epiroc but are at the same time supported by our many great colleagues within the company - we have the best of both worlds! We believe that work should be fun, challenging and rewarding, but also have a strong meaning and purpose. We are changing how our industry is powered and we want to be a part of the solution to combat climate change by developing new and improved products and services!
Your mission
As a Technical Product Manager at Rocvolt Team, you will have the technical responsibility for one segment of our existing battery products portfolio and be part of the entire value chain, from design, production to end-customer. You will manage and drive improvements, change and added functionality for the products you manage to ensure a competitive product on the market.
For the new products you will receive, you will be a part of new development projects as a stakeholder. Typically, the work is focused on continuous improvements where design, commonality and documentation are core areas to manage. Internal cross-functional contacts are essential as well as external contacts with suppliers and customers. The work covers concept development and realization, documentation, drawings and product specifications, managing the products from cradle to grave. Technical project management is also required.
Skills and knowledge
In order to succeed in this role we believe you have a strong background in engineering, dare to think new, are well organized and thrive in being the spider in the web. You have a University degree in a relevant area or other highly qualified engineering background and some years of professional experience. You are used to bringing ideas from an initial concept to serial production, creating technical documentation and verifying technical solutions.
To enjoy this work, you should be self-propelled, responsible and your work should be effectively planned to meet deadlines. You have a structured and analytical approach, and enjoy combining theory and practice. Furthermore, you have good interpersonal skills, enjoy teamwork and a collaborative, agile environment where communication is key. Since your work includes many local and global contacts it is required that you are fluent in English (verbal and written). Swedish language, experience with CAD design tools and experience on PLM systems are also meritorious.
