hela Sverige Grid Automation Products is a business unit within Hitachi Energy that is responsible for the development, marketing and sale and manufacturing of products for protection and control for generation, trunk networks and regional network applications. The unit's product offer consists of IEDs in the Relion® 670/650 series. The unit also offers services such as training to ensure customers get the maximum return on their investment in Hitachi Energy protection and control solutions.
As Technical Product Manager, you will be leading and have the responsibility for lifecycle aspects of a certain product or product series. Monitoring the product quality and handle quality issues and end of life situations together with the R&D organization to meet the targets. Coordination and communication in different teams in multi-locations. Besides, you are responsible for tracking the product maintenance cost and financials.
Your responsibilities
Monitoring and controlling the product quality, which includes defect reporting and repair statistics
Monitoring and controlling the product manufacturability, drive activities which includes EoL situations
Maintenance release plan, and together with Product Management define the scope of a new product maintenance release
Owner of the product defect backlog
Creating reports, chairing, and coordinating the communication of product quality issues to other teams, steering committee, and other stakeholders
Handling the maintenance budget and the cost reporting
Your Background
Master's degree in computer science, mechanical, electronic engineering or equivalent, along with at least 3 years' experience from project management or product development projects
Proven knowledge and experience in product lifecycle management, preferably in an agile and lean organization, including gate model
Ability to analyze complex challenges, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
You are flexible, well organized, a driven problem solver, solutions-oriented, who willingly takes initiatives, delivers on time and according to expectations
Used to teamwork in international teams with excellent interpersonal skills and proficient in English (written, speaking), whereas Swedish is qualifying.
